Homeless Prevention and Housing Placement
For Individuals Experiencing Homelessness
Our Approach
Rapid Re-Housing is a solution to homelessness designed to help individuals and families to quickly exit homelessness and return to permanent housing. It is offered without preconditions (such as employment, income, absence of a criminal record, or sobriety), and the resources and services provided are typically tailored to the unique needs of the household. CRR helps individuals experiencing homelessness and near-homelessness secure permanent, stable housing with its collaborations and programming; CRR’s case managers work to:
Referrals
Assess clients who are living in shelters or encampments for housing.
Stable housing
Help transition Career and Recovery Resources clients into stable housing.
Furnishing Assistance
Secure affordable or no-cost furniture and household goods upon move-in.
Sustain Housing
Help clients sustain housing through steady employment, access to healthcare, and other government benefits (e.g., Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) through coordination of CRR programs and collaborations.
CRR supports the housing process in Houston by housing and navigating over 420 individuals through the coordinated access system.
