Hurricane Beryl Relief

On Monday, July 8th, 2024, Hurricane Beryl, a category one storm, began its path through Houston and the surrounding counties. The storm’s heavy rainfall and high winds left behind a trail of debris, flooding, and left over two million residents without power

UpRise Enterprise

In the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, Career and Recovery Resources, Inc. received calls from various districts requesting disaster cleanup crews. Our teams quickly mobilized to support cleanup efforts in Districts C, D, K, and F. Our UpRise Enterprise crews have worked every day since the storm to clear debris across Houston.

Our Staff Cares

Members of our staff, including those who were without power, provided additional support to the community by volunteering at food & water distribution centers across these Districts. We are proud to have service-minded and selfless individuals on our team who care about the needs of our community.

How We Provided for Those in Need

On Thursday, July 18th, we hosted a food and water distribution site for Houstonians and our clients affected by the storm. This was made possible by our partnership with Houston Housing Authority and the Houston Food Bank and support from the Department of Neighborhoods. We want to thank the CenterPoint Foundation and HEB for their generous donation which helped make this event possible.

We want to thank our supporters and donors. You are the reason we can continue our mission of providing second chance opportunities and services. If you have not already, consider donating to help us continue to meet the needs of our clients and to allow us to continue to break barriers for those seeking a second chance.
